Description

Whisper Mountain Outbreak is an isometric co-op PvE multiplayer survival horror game where you and your friends must work together to stop the outbreak from spreading in the cursed fog-covered Mt. Bisik.

Explore abandoned buildings, fight monsters, scavenge resources, craft items, solve puzzles, and figure out a way to destroy the evil lurking beneath the shroud.

The Story of The Game

It’s 1998; a mining operation on Mt. Bisik inadvertently unleashed an ancient horror when they disturbed a ruin buried deep inside the mountain.

People started hearing whispers and seeing monsters when a mysterious fog suddenly appeared and covered the area surrounding the mountain. Now, it is your duty as an agent of BRIM (Bureau of Research & Investigation of Metaphysics) to investigate and eradicate the paranormal and otherworldly threats.

History

In the early 2000s, Capcom released Resident Evil Outbreak, a survival horror game with online play, one of the first in its genre to offer cooperative gameplay. It was a groundbreaking concept, blending classic survival horror elements with teamwork, though it launched at a time when online console gaming was still in its infancy.

For many fans of the Resident Evil series, Outbreak became a cult favorite, and the idea of solving puzzles, managing limited resources, and surviving a zombie apocalypse alongside friends remained an enduring dream. While other online multiplayer Resident Evil titles came and went, none quite captured that same tense, methodical survival horror experience.

At Toge Productions, many of our team members, including our founder and CEO, Kris Antoni, are long-time fans of survival horror, especially classics like Resident Evil and Silent Hill. After years of hoping to revisit that kind of cooperative horror gameplay, we decided to take matters into our own hands. In 2021, we began planning Whisper Mountain Outbreak, our own take on a co-op survival horror game.

Features

Survive and fight the horde Monsters will come in waves. Fight them off using a variety of melee and ranged weapons, use herbs to recover your health, and protect each other’s backs!
Co-op multiplayer madness

Teamwork is key in this race to safety. Communicate using in-game proximity voice chat, save downed teammates, and share the scarce resources you find.
Explore, solve puzzles, and find a way to escape... together! Work together to solve puzzles, find keys, unlock doors, and figure out a way to escape the curse.
Learn new skills and craft items Turn your hard-earned experience and resources to tackle harder missions by utilizing your newly learned skills and crafted items.
2.5D retro graphics with a claustrophobic, dark, and creepy atmosphere A lingering fog, tight rooms, limited visibility, and eerie whispers, presented in 2D pixel characters with 3D low-poly environments. Offering both nostalgic and freshly terrifying experiences.
Choose your specialization At the start of each run, choose from three random classes (out of six total). Each class has unique perks and skills, allowing for different playstyles and strategies.
