Whisper Mountain Outbreak is an isometric co-op PvE multiplayer survival horror game where you and your friends must work together to escape the cursed fog-covered Mt. Bisik.

Explore abandoned buildings, fight monsters, scavenge resources, craft items, solve puzzles, and figure out a way to escape the whispering madness.

The Story of The Game

It’s 1998; a mining operation on Mt. Bisik inadvertently unleashed an ancient horror when they disturbed a ruin buried deep inside the mountain.

People started hearing whispers and seeing monsters when a mysterious fog suddenly appeared and covered the area surrounding the mountain. Now, you and your friends are trapped in the cursed Mt. Bisik.

History

In the early 2000s, Capcom released Resident Evil Outbreak, a survival horror game with online playability. It was one of the first survival horror games to feature cooperative gameplay, the game was groundbreaking. Sadly, it was released too far ahead of its time and the game was a commercial flop.

For 20 years fans of the Resident Evil franchise have waited for Outbreak to be revived or remade. Fans wanted the Resident Evil style survival horror experience, such as solving puzzles and surviving the zombie apocalypse with limited resources, together with their friends. Unfortunately, Capcom had other plans, they kept releasing online multiplayer Resident Evil games but without the survival horror, instead, they released arcade team-based action shooters which the fans hated.

Many of Toge Productions crew members are big fans of survival horror games, including the studio’s founder and CEO, Kris Antoni, who is a big fan of Resident Evil and Silent Hill. We were all tired of waiting for Capcom to remake Resident Evil Outbreak, so we decided to make our own coop survival horror game. The planning for Whisper Mountain Outbreak started in around 2021.

Features

Survive and fight the horde Monsters will come in waves. Fight them off using a variety of melee and ranged weapons, use herbs to recover your health, and protect each other’s back!
Co-op multiplayer madness

Teamwork is key in this race to safety. Communicate using in-game proximity voice chat, save downed teammates, and share the scarce resources you find.
Explore, solve puzzles, and find a way to escape... together! Work together to solve puzzles, find keys, unlock doors, and figure out a way to escape the curse.
Learn new skills and craft items Turn your hard-earned experience and resources to tackle harder missions by utilizing your newly learned skills and crafted items.
2.5D retro graphics with a claustrophobic, dark, and creepy atmosphere A lingering fog, tight rooms, limited visibility, and eerie whispers, presented in 2D pixel characters with 3D low-poly environments. Offering both nostalgic and freshly terrifying experiences.
Choose your specialization At the start of each run, choose from three random classes (out of six total). Each class has unique perks and skills, allowing for different playstyles and strategies.
